i would. those are used tires and you barely clear. with new tires looks like you would have to anyways. and was that maxed out.

I really like that picture browser! Works really well. Better than just a list of pic names that you have to click through. The thumbnails and large picture are sweet. /forums/images/graemlins/shame.gif

I would deffentally wait till you get the tires you Want(or new tires) then try to make the front and back kinnda match like how it would have looked if GM had made the fenders like your front ones if that makes since /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif

I can tell that you're not maxed out. Without the sway bar you're going to rub like crazy up front I'd bet. You're hacked pretty good but 40s and 4" is pretty hard to pull off, especially with inner fenders and soft springs.

Those with small monitors have to scroll alot more when viewing those pics in that format.
I think maybe that's what he meant by "your picture browser sucks" /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Re: 40\'s with 4 inch lift flexing pics

I think your gonna have to trim more. My old 76 had 4" lift on 40's. No sway bar, with longer front shocks, The tire would hit the firewall(after it tore the inner fender out!) under full compresion. I cut alot off the back, Maybe just wheel off set, But it would hit the fender lip when fully compressed. It still hit when I upped the lift to 5" front 6 rear. You gotta remember the wheel opening is only 35".....40 don't fit in 35 hole

But still looks good with the 40's

Trim the rear to match the front. I think it will look a lot better, and if you do it right, the untrained eye won't even know that u trimmed at all.....

With only the front trimmed its pretty obvious what you did.

    Looking good though! /forums/images/graemlins/woot.gif

It's not necessary for the rear to match the front. The rear tires don't turn!!
