427 tall block info

    Was wondering if anyone was has the torque and h.p. rating for a 78 427 tall block motor???

    I would have to say that the TQ is around 500-550. If you put a good carb and dist. it will really help. The stock carb on my 427 had govners (spelling?) in both.

    427 Trk 1.84" 21840 to 22640 788 to 964 cfm Max. 427 HP
    427 Trk 1.94" 21740 to 22540 788 to 964 cfm Max. 427 HP

    427 Oval Port 21610 to 22410 788 to 964 cfm Max. 427 HP
    427 Rect.Port 21490 to 22290 788 to 964 cfm Max. 427 HP
