42s on with 4\" suspension lift!!

Well, I got three 3 legs down. The last one will go on tonight. But here is how it stands now. The specs:

4" Rough Country full spring lift
    ORD HD Shackles in front
1" A-Tron axle offsets (1.5" forward in front, 1" back on rear)
    3" body lift
slightly trimmed fenders with Bushwacker cut-outs

The flares go away and trimming will be about 3" under front side lamp (rugh at base of inner fender) adn back to the tub behind front as well as some cleaning up in the rear.

Like the 35" BFG MT wheel chock?!?

NICE JOB - Brian, It really looks good. I'd like to see a picture just like the one you posted but with better light on the side so I can see the wheel offset compared to the fenders.

I'm just curious, can that monster fit through any drivethroughs? It's got to be getting close to not being able to fit under some overpasses... haha. I know where we go you'd have to have a midget with a chainsaw sit in your luggage rack.

    lookin' good.

That looks SWEET!!! I like it a lot.
Don't you think a 42" spare is going to be a bit hard to hoist up on your roof rack? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
Just curious....why are you getting rid of the fender flares? Won't there be some holes in the sheetmetal from the rivets? Enlighten me...because I think they look good. /forums/images/graemlins/ignore.gif

    Should be 8". 4" spring, 3" body and 1" zero-rate (block).

I'm also very surprised nobody said anything about the lug nuts.

if you can fit 42"s on your blazer with the 4" and 3"
I know I can at least fit 39.5"s on my pickup with the same setup, except for the shackles,do they rub anywhere?
    looks kickin ass though! /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/truck.gif /forums/images/graemlins/usaflag.gif

Re: 42s on with 4\" suspension lift!!

I haven't measured yet to the top of the lights, but knowing how tall I was before, the top of the lights should be right at 10' now. However, the rack is coming off and going to be mounted on my trailer (once I get it that is). The lights I already have mostly sold. Then the hard top goes for a soft top. All in an effort to relocate my center of gravity. By removing the rack, the truck will actually be 9 inches shorter overall than it was with the 35s under it! /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

Re: 42s on with 4\" suspension lift!!

I have to do some more trimming to ensure no tire/fender contact. The flares do look good in this setup, but they will not accomodate the additional trimming needed. I will patch the holes left (after trimming) and touh up the paint.

Only way to keep them is to increase the lift, which I am not willing to do. This setup gives me a nice "squatty" center of gravity.

Re: 42s on with 4\" suspension lift!!

Yeah, I only had 16 on hand! So I had to split the difference as I couldn't get up to O'Reilly's today! But that is top on my list tomorrow. Since I haven't got the 205 swapped in yet for the 208, there are no driveshafts. So it ain't moving for a while anyhow! Not to mention I haven't finished the brakes and there is no steering yet. So 4 lugs per wheel will suffice overnight considering its limited movement!
