    46\" Baja Claws

This weekend I saw Mickey Thompson's newest tire, a 46-19.5-15. These things were huge! They were displayed
next to some 38"s and made them look tiny. The rep said they should be around $430 apiece when they go
    onsale.

there was a big thread about them a couple weeks ago don't think the price was mentioned just generalized. That will be crazy to see but $430 thats a wallet hurter.

I wonder how they would compare in size to a 44" bogger.

Most tires don't measure what they read on the sidewall. Swampers normally run big, and I've heard claws run small. Thats why I was wondering.

now that just sounds like a crazy rumor. Where did you hear this? First i heard of 49 super swampers. Some reason I doubt that, probably cause that would be stressing on 1 tons. And they would get a lot of complaints when epople break their 1/2 ton mall cruiser.

thats just sick. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif can't wait to see the first 1/2 axled rig with those. Though puting them on 20" rims says they get its gonna be 2 1/2ton stuff.

Look at the guys from Petersens 4 wheel mag. They put the 52" michelins on their F-250 and went wheelin with them. I guess the axles did fine because they didn't mention any breakage.

I heard they broke that super duty plenty...those michellin's weigh twice as much as 39.5x15x15 TSL's/forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif

Typical magazine crap...get everyone all horny to run 46" michelin's without telling all the story.

A D60 is a great front diff, but everything mechanical has it's limits!
