When I bought my Blazer 15k ago it had a newly rebuilt tranny. I'll be rebuilding it myself in a couple of months or when it goes. Its shuttering when it shifts into third so its not long for the world. If it goes after that time for another J**P

Replace it with a TH400 and you'll never replace it again. Same goes for 700R4's ... not all automatics are sh!tty, just 700's. TH400's rock ;-)

When I had my 79 Cherokee with a 360 /w 2 barrel and turbo 400 and 3.73 gears I got 16 MPG compared to the Blazer with 13 and overdrive and 3.73 gears. Both weigh aobut the same.

    It's a J**p thing. I'll never understand.

But damn, I'm jealous. If I could get double-digit mileage on either of my Blazers I'd be a happy mofo.
