4L60 doubler

Discussion in 'OffRoad Design' started by **DONOTDELETE**, Jan 5, 2001.

I was wondering what specifics I need when getting a 4L60E to mate to THE DOUBLER. Any certain spline or tailshaft length? unless they are all the same in a 4X4 version.

    Much Thanx !

The 4l60 has some variations, I'm going to assume you've got a trans that's the same as the 700 except the controls. You need a new output shaft in the 700. This shaft will make it "look" like a Th350 so a 350 version NP203 will bolt to it. From there, it's just a standard Doubler installation.
    Thanks
ps, possible difficulties could lie in the VSSB. You'll probably want a signal from the back of the 205 to feed to the computer. A later model 205 could have that setup, like from 87-91, or the aftermarket could help also.

  3. Hey! it's not going in a jeep. It's a '77 Scout SS. There's a big difference between Scouts and Jeeps! I'm just gonna have an ugly-narrow Blazer in the end
