I am having trouble determining what tranny this truck has... it is a 91 chevy 2500. it has a ff 14 bolt and a 454. it is 2 wheel drive and from the dash has a 4 speed automatic. What tranny would it have? thanks, Brian

more than likely, you have the 80. i'm not sure of the corresponding RPO code though. you can find that by doing a search on the web.

If it has a 14-bolt full floater, it will (probably/all-most allways/most deffenetly) have a 4L80 init.
Small blocks can/will be bolted to 4L80s.
Big-blocks will never be bolted to the lighter duty 4L60 trans from the factory.

4L60s have a rectangular oil pan.
    4L80s have a "barn-looking" oil pan
