I "won" a 4l80 out of a 98 2500 diesel suburban today. Has anyone done this swap yet. I know i need to get the control box and harness. But what about shift linakge? I'm going to use my np208 so that will bolt right up. I know cross member has to be moved back, and drive shafts shortend/lengthend. Any thing else im missing and need to think about. Thanks, Rugger

Shift linkage should be easy. You will need a VSS signal and a TPS signal for any controller.

Was your NP208 mated to a TH400 or SM465? The 4L80E is 32-spline, whereas anything bolted to a TH700 or TH350 is 27-spline. Different adapter required also.
