Wow, I remember reading the BBB report on 4WP a while back and look how there admins bash this guy who poses the question to them......Look here

    Douche bags!!

I look at there tires and stuff just for a general idea of pricing, but they have a funny way of doing business. I always get that creepy car salesman vibe when I talk to there employees.

Well, the guy posing the question could have been a bit more tactful.. Asking 4WP to explain the BBB rating is a legitimate question... repeating a thirdhand story and asking them to defend themselves is kind of asking for a kick in the nuts.

What did this guy expect? " oh yes sir, we make it a habit to defraud the wives of servicemen, and we kill kittens during our lunchbreaks"?

Got the response he deserved, I think.

Cool forum, I signed up and replied. I wonder if they'll delete it... or maybe I could join the band?

I forsee there Forum being shutdown in the near future :D

There for guys who like to cruise the malls anyways.

I called them just for chits and giggles on a leveling kit for my 05 Ram.

They told $350 for installation :screwy:

I laughed and he said we could probably work out a lower price or something.

Guess how much a 14bff R/P install including the gears and install kit cost?

    I was quoted 850.
I was like, does that include the front too?
He told me yea we can detatch and tie back your drive shaft if you want.

Just order your stuff off the net. I try to start with vendors from CK5 or Pirate, then the for sale forum, and then after that there are a plethera of online sources. You usually get a better price too since shopping around doesn't even involve you from leaving th couch! :D

Wow, that's something. I've had some odd experiences with 4WP but haven't got to the point of not shopping there. That was quite a response, makes me really wonder what's going on there.

It's a business and you have to bite your tounge sometimes. Could you see Stephen at ORD making a comment like that?? I'm sure he's had a few customers he'd like to say that to, but you don't.

They have the wrong guy answering questions over there. He needs to be introduced to unemployment.

4wpw is pretty shaddy. They work pretty much like a shaddy auto repair place. Lure ya in with cheap prices and then once they get your rig into their shop watch out cause the final bill is gonna end up being way more than they said originally. It varies from shop to shop, but the guys in portland don't know what the **** they are doing either. Anyway, the only time I use 4wpw anymore is when I have part numbers in hand and competitors prices for them to match. They are good about matching prices, even catalog prices (summit etc)... just don't let them work on your rig (ever!) or order anything for you. If it ain't on hand, walk out. Its pretty sad when you have to worry about this kinda thing at a biz... but I guess thats why their BBB rating licks.

I read the whole thing. It's hard to believe that the Admin's response to a legit comment was a reference to a guy's penis........

If I did that Steve would kick my ass from here to Virginia.
