I always see this truck around my house and around my area, and i finally got some pictures of it. The company Asplundh is a tree company i guess, but they are contracted by our power company to remove over-grown and fallen branches away off the power lines. So this truck is always around here on the power lines and woods working. And they use this truck to go where normal trucks might get stuck. Ive seen this thing in action, its gone where my old k5 on 35 and 6" lift couldnt go. Its pretty sweet tho, its got two winches, front and back. Looks like some kind of bead locks on some tires that are bigger than 44's. I dont know what kind of engine its got, itd be sweet if it was a CAT. That would be a cool ass job driving this all day long!

What do you do for a living? "Me? I drive a badarse GMC down powerlines all day so you can have uninterrupted electricity in your cubicle". How awesome would that be, Budweiser needs to make a tribute song to the driver of that dream machine!

Asplundh does the same stuff up here. They are no little company. There is a private gamelands somewhere very near me, the owner of Asplundh has animals from other areas flown in so he can hunt them and uses it as a meeting thing.

    That thing is SWEET

It "should" have a CAT diesel engine in it, unless they changed the platform. Yes, those trucks are bad-ass. What's even more bad-ass is having the opportunity to ride in one while it's chugging down a power line....ask me how I know.

What sucks though is pulling the cable out to get that bastard heavy truck out of the swamp when driver skill, or should I say lack of skill, loses to the bog.

The truck I was riding in had a different, more aggressive tire on it. They're used on spreader trucks a bunch down here as well.

What's even more bad-ass than that truck though? Boone FD's 4x4 pumper. Nothing like a big, flashy, loud, and GORGEOUS fire engine barreling up a snow covered road.
