4x4 indacator?

    1983 k5, is there a 4x4 indiactor on the dash board?
    Is the range selector on the t case shifter supposed to light up?

    It should, check the senser and/or plug that is directly on top of the t-case. Mine quit working, got under there, sprayed electrical cleaner in the plug and it started working again. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

    but the light doesnt have anything to do with 4wd being agaged, right. if this were the case i would just leave it, unless it is as simple as rjfguitar says his was.

    Correct - The light has nothing to do with 4X4 except a visual indicator to tell you it is in 4 wheel drive.

    Ok ill check the plug in the morning? Is there supposed to be a light in the range selector ?

    Yes there is a light on the range selecter...atleast on my 90 with a NP241.
