It seems like everytime I post a question of a really "propeller-head technical" nature, someone references 4x4 Power magazine for an article that was written there.....two recent examples were the NP205 Articles, and "4x4 BluePrinting"...all about the K5!!!

I know that the magazine is now defunct, but is there a way to still buy back issues, or am I going to have to buy issues "here-and-there" on e-Bay???

Any ideas? I'd like some high-quality scans of the tech articles, but a lot of what I've found is pretty fuzzy. I can read it, but it would be nice to have an original to work from.....

Look's like your have to go on eBay for them... I have about 8 or 9 of them. Good question though. I would also like to know!

WES!! You wouldn't sell you 4x4 Power mags would you?? [IMG] LOL!! J/K

Greg, I have most all of them too & IMHO, it was the single best 4x4 mag ever published! I found them so good that I even used to read the tech articles on Fords & Jeeps; just cause they were so well done! LOL
March 2000 (if I remember correctly) is the gold issue though [IMG]. That was the one that had the full spread on Blazer blueprinting & Chevy parts availability/swapability.

Great mag, too bad they killed it! [IMG]

Yeah, they also had that '75 Project Blazer on there that they swapped the 383 in and the last issue I believe had the 700r tranny swap. Those guys loved Blazers. I still remember that night that I found out the issue I just bought would be the last one.

4X4 Power was the "Car Craft" of offroad mags!!!!!!!

Burt,

COOOOOOOL! I don't really have a "specific" article I'm looking for. It's just that the article scans I've seen from that magazine all seem to be really "MEATY" and I started wondering how many more topics were covered like that....

If you'd be willing to let me borrow them for a while I could spend some time figuring out what's there and then spend an evening over at Kinko's photocopying everything good from them!! [IMG]

Burt, I'm looking for either the '92 or '93 January issue of the 4WOR. My dog ate the magazine and its the only one missing out of my collection way back to May of '85. I need to check which year is missing, but I believe its the '93 issue.

Maybe someone with issue could gain access to a scanner and scan some good articles. I would like to check some out as I never was into trucks back then.
