4x4 shops in Va.???

    Just moved to Va. last year, does any body know of some good 4x4 parts stores and or suspension shops in Virginia. I am just starting to build up my 85 K5 and am looking at lifting it 2.5"-4". Any info will felp thanks. /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gif /forums/images/graemlins/usaflag.gif

    if you live in southern VA there's Tom's 4x4 just outside winston-salem.

    i live in fredericksburg,va . we have a place down here called " bigfoot speed and custom " . there ok but nothing
    fancy. then theres a driveline shop near four mile fork. good guy but cant remember the name of his business.

    There's about six shop here in the tidewater area. I would only deal with 2 of them though. Everybody I run with does there own work. I just can't see paying someone else to do it.
    But that would be a drive to just get some work done. I'll give you there names if you want.

    Whats up? I live in Centreville.. Where in Fairfax are you located? I only know of three shops in the area.

    High Tech (Chantilly)
    Pro-Trucks (Fredricksburg)
    Trick-Trucks (Chantilly)

    They all tend to be pretty expensive with the hourly rates. Are you going to be doing the work yourself? Send me an email. nlwest@cox.net

    Theres a couple here in Richmond...a buddy of mine owns one of them...I also do work out of my garage and a riend of mines

    Pro trucks did my lift. but that was beefore I ownd the truck. They also took car of the 383 that was in it.

    I am looking at putting on a 2.5" or 4" lift with front and rear springs not just rear blocks. Replace shoks and maybe a few things more. I would do it myself but I don't have a place to work on my beast except at work.

    Down here in southern VA we have Pro-trucks, Eastern Off-road, Pungo off-road, Hi-dust 4x4 and some others. Are you looking for a shop to install or purchase parts from?

    if you really need it done bring it to richmond, my buddy can do it at his shop or in his garage for a decent price
