anyone know if 8 lug 16.5X9's with 5 1/2 inch backspace fit on an 81 k5? I was told that I would have problems with the fronts. Anyone know what backspace i need?

I had 16.5X10" wheels with 5" backspacing and they would rub when the steering stabilizer was loose and hit something it would rotate the centerlink causing the tie rods to rub. I tightened my steering stabilizer and never rubbed but it was close.
