52\" or 56\" - this is driving me mad...

Ok... can someone definitively tell me if the first gen K5 has 52" or 56" rear springs? I measured mine and they are roughly 52" from eye to eye... yet my local 4x4 shop keeps trying to sell me 56" packs.

This is the stuff that drives me crazy...

    Thanks for the help...

They are 52" along with every other 1/2 ton from 69-87
The 56" came in 3/4 tons

Ignore the morons at your shop.....

Your brothers on CK5 won't lead you wrong! 52" springs .....

Use the ones from a late 80's K5 if you are looking to "soften" the ride over stock. Most of the 2nd Gen guys throw them away after installing their "new" lifts, so you should be able to get them for free or maybe some beer!! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

If your looking to replace the rear leaf, I put 57's on mine with this kit.
