52"to 56"- hangers ?

    52\"to 56\"- hangers ?

    are 52"and 56" hangers both all the same ? just in forward holes* ?

    checking before swapping 14 bolt under in placeof the 10 bolt, want to convert to 56" while im at it, i already have a pair of 56" mains, just hoping 52" hangers are same.

    what do you mean by the same? i just finished putting 56" springs on mine yesterday.

    Yes they are the same, just have to move the mounts back 4" along the frame.

    or use the shackle flip and swap sides with them and drill an inch and a half back. ;]

    Or use the ORD flip, swap sides and add a longer shackle and while you're at it throw on a set of speghetti springs AKA Ford57's

    or like my Buddy's 86 long bed. the previous owner put 56" in a 52" set by using 2 stock shackles linked together. You lose 2" of lift doing that (or gain 2 more depending on spring and shackle set up (flip VS. non flip)

    if you done drill the holes back with the flips on opposite sides, then the angle will be too much = wheel hop like a mofo

    I've done this, and on my frame the factory had put holes in the rearward positions already so I just had to enlarge them for the bolts. IIRC, the bolts were closer to 3" back, not 4", which I thought was a bit odd. If you're truck doesn't have the factory holes in the farther back position, make sure to do some measuring of other trucks before you start drilling.
