Did a search and couldn't find reasonable answers to my questions.

Background: I want to add 33s to the K5, but I don't want to roast the tranny. I am going to add a tranny cooler and gauge to be safe.

    Question 1: Is that enough?

My father-in-law said to turn up the pressure and open up the passage ways?!? I understand the concept.

Question 2: Can that really be done to a 700?

i have the 6.2/700R4 with 3.73's and 33's, and it does just fine. i dont have an aditional trans cooler, but i will soon, just to help keep the temps down when i am towing.

i am running the 100% orriginal drivetrain, and just rolled 211,000 miles.

Get a large stacked plate tranny cooler and a temp gauge...

    Should be all right though.

What gears do you have? 3.73's will be fine with 33's.
