I have a Military K30, 86 model CUCV. Is the starter on this the same as the civilian model. Next when I turn the key to on, the lights come on for Wait (for the glo plugs) then when it goes out I turn to start and NADA, you hear a soilionoid(sp) click that is right by the power brakes (think this is the injector relay) and nothing else. If I directly bridge the main wire that goes into the starter soilonoid to the other big pole on it, should it activate the starter.

    Thanks

no the military starters are different, they are 24v. the click you heard should be the glow plug relay. sounds like your not getting any juice to the starter... or the starter is toast.

you might get a better response in the GM diesel forum. maybe?
