I have a Banks Sidewinder to install on my 85 "J" 6.2 L Suburban. I know there are numerous benefits to the TD 6.5 vs. the 6.2 but there were also NA 6.5's sold as replacement engines for the 6.2. Do the NA 6.5's have the same benefits as the TD 6.5's? I am interested in whether NA 6.5 has oil cooled and coated pistons, bigger injection pump and injectors, better heads like the TD 6.5 has. I am assuming the block is the same for both. The Banks came off a 6.5 replacement for a 6.2, and I need to consider whether the replacement 6.5 offers any benefit over the 6.2 that I already have. The displacement difference does not concern me much.
