Well the J code engines are worth more than the C code ones. If they are J then many times the C code guys are looking for them to swap over the heads and intake. I would say a couple hundred each if they are J.

Well the J code will have the J in the Vin, plus no EGR in the Intake, it's fairly easy to see, it's an open 3" hole instead of a canister in the middle of it.
I think if they were in miltary vehicles they are all J code.

I would be interested in one if they are running, and Socal is close to me too and I will be making a trip down there soon.
Let me know what you get them for.

Okay...I gotta go by the guys house again and see what the deal is.

I also go up to Sac (Roseville actually) quite often. Me and a couple friends actually may be going up there within the next few weeks. Got some 'business' to handle. /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif

I'll let you know what I find out/forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Do you have a crank accessory drive pulley with the rubber isolator on it?

It bolts in front of the dampner and has three grooves for the V belts. Unlike the earlier ones, it is two piece with a large rubber isolator as part of the design. If this doesnt help, then I guess I will have to take a picture.
