6" lift..will i hafta lengthen the driveshafts?

    6\" lift..will i hafta lengthen the driveshafts?

    Im gonna put on a 6" lift and was wondering if i hafta lengthen my driveshafts? its a 79. i know all trucks are different. i dont really have the money for new shafts yet. thanx for the help.

    I only put on 4" and it's stretchin em put pretty good.....

    On shortbed vehicles you will need to lengthen both shafts.

    On longbeds, the rear shaft can be used but not too much for a flexy truck.

    To save some cash on the front shaft, get the 1" spacer from Superlift that spaces the c.v. joint flange away from the yoke flange an inch. This will allow you to retain the front shaft without cutting or lenthening it. Cost is around $40.
