Is there any way to get or convert a 14 Bolt Axel to a 6 Lug Chevy Pattern. I was told a few years back that the 90-93 SS454 Trucks had a 14 Bolt in them and so did some Heavy Half and Z-71's around the same time. Any help would be appreciated.

Some of the light duty 3/4 ton 88's and up came with a 6 lug semi-floater 14 bolt. Has a 9 3/4 inch ring gear compared to the full floaters 10.5 . The same axle could come with 8 lugs too.
    I believe O.R.U. Sales a kit to make a full floater 14 bolt into a 6 lug.

4 wheeling is like sex, when its good, its really, really good, when its bad its still pretty good.

Next question: My 12 Bolt axel is narrower then my Dana 44 front, is the 14 Bolt any wider?

All of the rear axles are like that, you can buy a spacer that evens the rear out with the front. OR you can get a 14b from a van, I believe they are the same width as the front, but a little harder to find.
As for the converting the 14b to 6 lug. If you are getting a full floater, send a pm to Donovan, he can convert a 14bff from 8 to 6 lug. Hope that helps.

Donovan on here can convert an 8 lug 14ff to 6 lug.

if you can find a 14ff that has disk brakes you don't need the spacer.

Most 14 bolts are 67" wide and the front axle on a 1/2 tons are 67.5" wide, and 12 bolts are 65.5".
