Is there such a beast out there ? front and rear ?
I just got a bug to get a set of Dana 44's (w/4.09/4.10/4.11's - whichever).

But I just spent a pretty penny on those new Cooper 33's and the rims are awesome also - so I'd hate to trash everything just to go 8 lug....

    Any ideas ?

    Thanks, Dan

I think I am going to get a 14bsf.. That way I could stay 6 lug.. But get a little more strenght.. Still not a full floater.. But it is better then a 10 bolt.. They do make d44 rears for jeeps.. But I think the wms is to small..

There are some very rare 6-lug Dana rears that were used in 67-72 2wd 1/2-tons... The 44 is rare, and the 60 even more rare.

Just about every 4wd GM 1/2 ton from '67 up to around '77 or '78 had a front 6-lug Dana 44 in various forms. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

As u2slow said, rear 6-lug D44's and D60's could be found in the rears of '67-'68 GM pickups but they are extremely rare. Don't count on finding one. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
