Anybody can run this setup as long as they dont hot rod or drive like a bat out of hell. If you want to make the parts last, drive conservatively on the street, but if off road, very carefully. It can and has been done. Are you interested in an 8" Skyjacker front and rear springs? I have some with about 10K miles on them for $400.00 for four springs.

first of all as for the 8 inch lift, i am doing the shackle flip iin the back so i only need 4 inch rear and 8 front. Second i don't do that much good off-raoding because i never have time so i guess it would be alright to keep the corporate 12 bolt?

There is no telling what will happen to your 12 bolt.

Some people run the 12 bolt with 38" tires and never have a problem ........... others break it the first time they go out. It really depends a lot on your driving style, miles on rear diff, and all the other variables I can't think of right now [IMG]

Basically, your best off keeping the 12 bolt until it ceases to function. Eventually you will probably either need to rebuild it, or replace it with something stronger.

I personally don't like replacing components that are still working, so if I were you, I would run with the 12 bolt until it broke.

Of course, you could baby your truck for the next 20 years and never have to wory about it [IMG] ............. but whats the fun in that! [IMG]
