About the technical article about converting your Dana 44 from a 6 to 8 lug. He makes an offhanded remark about the same thing working on your 10 bolt.

My question is, has anyone with a 10 bolt tried this out yet? Do the Dana 44 hd spindles fit the 10 bolt? I have a couple 10 bolts, so I would like to try it out, but if I am goin to spend money on parts, the Dana 44's are cheap. So I am trying to decied if I should spend the money on the parts for the 10 bolt conversion, or on a whole Dana 44 hd that is already 8 lug.

You don't need the spindles from the 44, just the backing plates, hub assembly, and rotor. - Doug

Yes all the parts are interchangeable between the 10 bolt and dana 44. At least from the knuckles out. I got all the parts to convert my ten bolt from 6 to 8 for $150.
