i think this is direct swap, they are 27 splines, both but the 700r4 mount is about an inch more behind or forward than th350 and thm200c i know, but that doesnt matter on 4x4

    good luck

Leave it up to a scout to destroy something /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif

Welcome aboard and hope you stay, we need more scouts around to counteract all the Jarheads around here.

You'll need an adapter to mate the TH 350 to your transfer case.

If your tcase is a 208
    find a 205 for the th350
you will also need a crossmemeber for th350
    and drive shafts modeified,
and if you have factor exhaust
the y pipe might be in the way
    so look into dual exhaust.
i did the same swap a year ago,
Thats all i can remeber changing
Good luck it's well worth the time and money

Without OD, your 3.42s will get you around fine, just be a little sluggish.

If you do change gears, go at least to 4.56 or don't waste your money.

If you do much Highway driving the 4:56 isn't your best bet... I think the 4:11 is a better all around chose without having OD... My top speed on the highway is about 68mph. and I'm running T-350 and 35's.... I want to find a 241 0r 208 t-case to change and get the OD for the highway..

I dont do a whole lot but i dont want to be red lined going down the road. what gears are you running? I need more than 68 mph on the highway. /forums/images/graemlins/pimp1.gif

I have 4.10's, 35's, and a th700(OD). I like it a lot for freeway cruising because I can keep my RPM's around 1600 to 1800 and get decent mileage. If I could pick any ratio I would probably wan't 4.56's because it would be a little quicker off the line and probably better MPG in town but still MPG would suffer on the freeway compared to 4.10's. /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif With a non OD tranny I wouldn't wan't anything lower than 4.10's with 35's, just my opinion though.

and what the sticker says is 3.08 gears
and ive had it upto 78 with no problems
thats using my gps as the speedo
i really need to pull the cover and check the gears,
to cold and to damn lazy /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
and yes you will need a crossmember for a 350

cool 78 is fast enough for 35s. well see how these salt flat gears (3:42) do but ill change them if im not getting off the line quick enough. I know i want my cake and eat it to but theres got to be a solution

Id love to have 3:42 gears
if you upgrade i might be interisted in em
Well let me know how it
    turns out
    also instead of regearing
look for 3/4 ton axles with the gears you want
cheaper than having the 1/2 tons regeared
