i got a 90 jimmy with 81,000 miles on it, my transmission makes some kind of clicking in reverse and sometimes in other gears while not moving but what worries me the most is that when i hit the gas in reverse it feels like it is slipping does anyone have any ideas , is it time for a rebuild oh and i also have a shift kit if that would have any thing to do with it

I beleive the clicking is a loose bolt on the torque converter. First thing I would do is pull the tranny pan and look for excessive amounts of metal. This would also be a good time to replace the tranny filter too.
