    I have a project. It's a '84 Sub with a 700r in it. The
guy wants to go with a 400 trans. Will the 208 t-case work with this or will I have to find a adapter?
Besides installing it, what else is going to have to change?
    I never messed with a 400 tranny
    Thanks

You will be needing to find both a TH400/208 adapter and a NP208 32 spline input (common on military CUCV trucks). It may be easier to find the TH400/NP208 combo complete out of a military truck than to find the individual pieces though.

The 700R4 uses a different adapter and a 27 spline input for the NP208.
