I need help!!! the other day while driving down the road i slowed down for traffic in front of me, when i got back on the gas the transmission downshifted into first and stayed. i let up on the gas a little to get it to shift but it wouldn't do anything the motor just revved up. when i came to a complete stop the truck would still drive but only in first gear. any ideas as to what it might be or what to look at to fix would greatly appreciated. thanks Joel

check the linkage, thats about the only easy fix. the linkage under the driver side seat, and the throttle valve cable going to the carb. and if that doesnt work ill send you a 350 core that you could rebuild[IMG]
