I have a 700R4 and need a inspection cover The stock only fits if its hacked because I have and like a 153 tooth flexplate, does anyone know where I can get the RIGHT cover for my application I really want a nice Alunimum or even chrome /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif. Also does a TH350 use the same cover? Ive only found 1 cover forsale in jegs and summit /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Do you have a K case that uses a cover with 6 bolts rather than a sheet metal cover with 4 screws? TH350/400/700 all use the same cover.

mine is held on with 4 1/4-20 bolts, Im not to sure what your talking about as far as a K Case. I know you mount the starter in diffent spots with the differnt flexplate and thats why mine is cut out(the stock one) and I want to get one that fit RIGHT. Think one from a LT1 car would be right?

If yours is only held on with 4 sheet metal screws then you do not have a K case 4WD tranny. You have just a normal passenger car tranny in your truck. You should be able to find a cover from any late 80's camaro and it should be good since they used the 153 tooth flexplate.

Basically, the "K" case is a little beffier case. It has an aluminum dust cover rather than the thin steel one and has more material through the bellhousing area. Its a HD case, but I believe the internals are the same.
