I'm right in the middle of putting a deeper B&M pan on my 700 right now and am wondering if I need to use the longer filter spring that came with it. This is the first time I have pulled the pan since I have owned this and it does not have the factory support spring. When I pulled out the new filter I bought it said that the filter design had been updated and that the spring was no longer needed and that if mine had it to discard it. So I'm kind of at a loss as what to do since the filter will be lower now with the pickup extension for the deeper pan. Any ideas?

Thanks Eric, I think I better go ahead and put it on mine too. I don't see how it would hurt anything and that filter is a inch or so lower now.

I did find out that my front shaft is real close. But I'm running a 700r 205 setup. so you mite not have any problems

Yeah the front shaft is tight on me too let alone the exhaust crossover. Kind of like one of those horseshoe puzzle games they sell at cracker barrel, lol.

Is there anyway you could take some pice of the pan after you get it installed? I am thinking about doing the same thing to mine. Just wanna see how it looks.

    Thanks
    Ross
