Looking to get this tranny as strong as possible without picking up a new one from anywhere. I'd like to know what kits are out there that people have had good experince with. Thanks.

Try either B&M or TCI. Of the 2 I think TCI has the better kit. But B&M is good also.

You are talking about a full blown disassemble/reassemble? I would strongly suggest AGAINST B&M of any kind. (Not impressed with what they do with some trannies, and their instructions sucked on the 350 I did)
Check out some of the Camaro and Corvette sites, and 700-R4 in general. I'm sure they have weak internal parts that need upgrading, and since they will, it will be easy to find them.

not sure if http://www.dorianyeager.com/index2.html
No anti-theft measures on your truck? No pity when its stolen

Also, check out Hughes Performance in the Summit Racing catalog... Summit gave me their number and I gave them a call. They do all the right stuff to beef the trannies and warranty them for 90-days or a year... don't remember. They also do sell rebuild kist for $330 for the 700r-4. The kit has Kolene steels, Red Alto race frictions, Kevlar lined race band, ect. Give them a call for alll their upgrade parts and a catalod.
