Anybody got tips for a 700r4 rebuild? Somebody told me corvette servos and a full lock up converter. Someone else told me to build the tranny in such a way that it is fully mechanical not electrical. I'm not sure what that means, but what do you guys think? Thanks to all. Happy Holidays.

I don't know a ton about 700R-4's but there have been many discussions about the best way to get them built and the best places to get 'em done. Try a search on this site. Try viewing all of 'ken's posts. I believe he started a thread or two about the 700, and it was fairly recent.
This might get you some of the info that you're looking for.

What I did is told the shop what I do with my K5 and told them to build it as if it were theirs. I have done this with both my 700r4 at one shop and my t400 at another. Both tranies run great.
