    700R4 shift kit ?\'s

I installed a RV/heavy duty shift kit in my tranny last weekend and now my shift point have raised dramatically. It won't shift out of first until it gets just above 15 mph, and second won't shift until about 30 mph. Is this normal or did I possibly do something wrong when I installed it. I followed the directions to the letter. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Check the adjustment on yer TV cable. You may hace to re-adjust it because of the valve body changes. Just a thought.

i tried adjusting it back and forth a little but it only moves the shift points by 1-3 mph.

Sounds normal to me. Putting in a shift kit raises the part throttle shift points but doesn't change the full throttle shift points. You'll get used to it.

What kind of shift kit is it? The shift points should only change a little bit unless the kit specifies that it changes them, or you also did a "shift point" kit. A general shift kit just firms things up.
