I saw a post a while back about a kit you could get to calibrate your speedo when putting bigger tires on. I just put 35" tires on my '86 K5. It has a 700R4 tranny. Any info I can get would be great.

I'll look into it....on the 88 up C/K's (new body style) there are some holes in the back on the dash cluster...GM sells a tool that you hook up a 9 volt battery and basically install pins in given spots for the new ratio or tire size and short the cluster...the old burb/blazer style (R/V) is a different critter as the ABS gets a little out of whack also as the speed of the a/c volts coming back from the tone rings gets slower with the bigger tires. Let ya know what i dig up...and remind me thru private mail ...goin to Colorado this friday.

I need this for my 87. It's always been way off past the 40MPH mark. Also, when it gets cold, the speedo needle wobbles like crazy, and it's even more off than normal. I think it may need to be lubed. Anyone know how to do that and what to use?

Hey AzBlazer! What part of Colorado are you visiting this weekend? Gonna be anywhere near Colorado Springs?
