OK, guys...my R4 is still slipping between 2 & 3 and sometimes between 1 & 2. I have replaced the TV cable and adjusted it through all possible settings. It is now in the best of all the settings. I have had the fluid replaced with the power flush system so there is ALL NEW fluid. The thing works great whenever I have it at full throttle. The shifts are good and there is no slipping. However, now the thing still slips whenever I accellerate at slow to medium throttle. I can often feel it starting to shift and slip so I back off on the throttle and it shifts fine. If I do not back off, the tranny slips for several seconds before the next gear engages. I HATE THIS. The company that makes the RAPTOR sells several kits that supposedly fix a few glitches in the R4. These kits allegedly do not require the removal of the tranny. Has anyone else had this problem???? Has anyone else used these kits???? Any help at this point is WELCOME!!!!!! I got to get this fixed. Again,... my R4 has only about 7,500 miles on it. It is a GM factory Crate rebuild. Thanks for any replies

if it's only got 7,500 miles, and you bought it from GM- isn't it covered by warranty? even if you put it in yourself, it should still be covered?

1 yr or 12,000 - whichever comes first - it has been in almost 20 months. I do not drive all that much here in Key West....it is an island that is 4 miles by 2 miles. I thought of the warranty also and have already checked. Thanks though...

The raptor kicks tail! Great tranny IMO. You can also try a addiative called "Lube Gurd" (spelled that way). We have had awsome luck with it in slipping trannys.

I've never tried it, but some say that using type F tranny fluid in a slipping GM tranny can cure "some" problems. If all else fails, it may be worth a shot, but again I have never done this, so I am NOT speaking from personal experience.

    You can check with www.dorianyeager.com/index2.html
Why insist on counting when the ring gear has the tooth counts stamped in?
