700R4 surging need some help - advice please

    well it doesnt seam to wanna shift out of 1st but its a very solid when its in first and reverse works fine aslo
    any Idea's ??? /forums/images/graemlins/ears.gif /forums/images/graemlins/ears.gif /forums/images/graemlins/ears.gif
    oh yea i took this tranny from a gas motor and put it behind a diesel so im wondering if i gotta change something inside it to make it shift from just the vacum
    im cluelees on what makes these things shift

    700's don't shift with vacume like a th350 does.
    The TV cable is what governs the shift points.Go here to read up on TV cables if you are unfamiliar with them.
    The setting of the TV is VERY important.Make sure it's right.Or get it to a shop that can set it for you.
