700r4 + Tcase oil amount

    how much oil does a 700r4 take
    and
    how much oil does the tcase need

    After a rebuild with a new torque converter, a 700 takes 23 pints (just shy of 3 gallons). If you have an extra cooler, even more. After dropping the pan for a "fluid change", it will take 3-4 quarts.

    I don't remember how much a 208 or 241 T-case needs, but all you have to do is drain the old stuff into a jug and see how much it is. Then pour that much new stuff in and top off as needed. It is under a gallon.

    A 208 takes 5 quarts of ATF.

    mine took 6 qt's till it started to dribble back out
