To bad you're in Ohio, I have a th350 all set up with this setup. And I did use it briefly to replace my blown 700 and it was easy. Pull out your 700, put the 350 in and everything bolts right back in. All you have to do is run a vacum line to the tranny, which is easy enough.

    Hope this helps

The Tcase and Xmember stays in the stock place so the shafts dont need to be changed. I have that set up on mine. What it is is a new rear output shaft and a spacer to go between the trans and case adapter. Basicly all it does is takes up the extra lenght of the 700 that the 350 doesnt have.

Why would you want to swap out the 700r4,the 208 for the205 I can understand, I have an 85 also and if you rebuild the 700 right it can handle over 400 hp. Very soon I will have a 406 SB with 425ft-lb's of tourque. A corvette servo and a better cooler will be enough for my 700.they are a great daily driver tranny. You don't need a stall converter unless you are running a cam with more than 224 degrees of duration.

im getting a deal on the trans and 205 case,
the guy that built it built's
    alohilic motors
and trans for em for mud bogging
    he says the 700r4 sucks
i believe him as ive been tru 2 of em in 3 months,
the stall on the converter is just his standered setup,
il get 1 lower or add a cam,
    what stall do u recommended?
    Thanks guys

If your getting a 205 case toss the 208 in the parts pile and forget it! Youll have to get new shafts made but that will prob even out to getting the swap kit.

As far as the stall goes, maybe step it up (above stock) to a 15-1800 stall but 3000 is WAY too much for a stock motor.

I'm planning on doing the reverse swap that you are going from t350 to 700r4 to gain the overdrive. I have already did the Ring and pinion in the rear end to 4:56 because that was what all the books said it should be with 35's. wish you were near here so I could get your old stuff, but Good luck!
