Is it easy to bolt on (and run) a 700R4 to early year K5?
I've heard there are tricks for vacuum pressure. Something about if certain small things aren't done it'll burn up the tranny.

    700r4s don't use a vacuum modulator.

700R4's use a Throttle Valve Cable "TV cable" to set shift points. If it is not installed and adjusted properly, the tranny will self destruct quite rapidly.

No vacume to worry about on a 700.
    BUT
You will need all the hardware to hook up the TV cable. It is very important that the TV cable be hooked up and adjusted properly.
You will also need a torque convertor lock up kit. Its no use installing a overdrive tranny with out the lock up on the torque convertor working. Besides if it dosent lock up it may build up heat.
    Summit sells both these kits.
