Eaton 3/4 ton rearend and 3/4 ton dana 44 for the set I would pay no more that 500 bucks, duno if there are any after market parts for that rearend. My father inlaw has the 72 3/4 ton and I did the wheel bearings on his D44. basically looked the same except when you remove the hub bolts the locking hub part comes off in one piece, then all that is left to remove is the snapring and nuts.
I have read somwere that the one piece style is considered stronger.....

There are no new ring & pinion sets available for the Eaton rears. I wouldn't want to be in the set more than $300 or so.

Some of the '72s have Dana 60 rears.

Ya, my buddy has one of those Eatons and Parts are hard ot come by! The drums are $129 ea and the only other parts avaiable are bearings. No R&P's......

    I would stick with a 14SF, D60 or a 14FF..
