yesterday i saw a 72 GMC Jimmy with a pop-up camper. the guy said it was factory. i know the factory made some for second gen. but haven't heard of first gen. this guy said it is the only one registored but there were suppose to be some made he was trying to sell it is it something that might be a real collectable?

There is a link in the LINKs thread about the Blazer chalet which may be similar? I am not sure if any were made for the 1st gen or not.

I have been thinking about the popups myself, but with the 6 pt cage it just isnt feasable. (Was thinking of buying one of those slide in campers and putting it on the Jimmy!

Get us some pictures of that thing man!

Not factory, but there was a camper available.

Maybe some dealers installed them as a option?
