This question is not actually about my Blazer is is about my 72 2wd 3/4 parts truck. I was looking at the glove box and it gives the code "M49 - Turbo Hydra-Matic." Can anyone tell me if this is a Turbo 350 or Turbo 400? If it's a 400, I'm keeping it, if it is a 350 I am going to sell it.

    Thanks,

    Rod

Not sure about the RPO codes for the trucks, but I would guess that it's a TH350 (I might be wrong; in cars, the RPOs would be M38 and M40). The sure way to tell is to look at the pan. The TH350 pan is almost square (with one corner kind of cut off). The TH400 pan is irregular in shape. The TH350 uses a 27 spline output and the TH400 uses a 32 spline output.
