    \'73 K5 makes appearance in \"Airwolf.\"

You guys remember "Airwolf?" You know, the one with the black and white Bell 222(helicopter) that has after burners, etc.? Well, I just got done watching an episode of it on TV Land, and sitting in front of the enemy's barracks, was a full convertable top K5. It was either a '73 or '74. It looked pretty sweet, except for the paint. They also showed a close-up at the end when Airwolf made a low pass. Just thought it was cool.

Right on....The other day I was watching "COPS" and they went to do a drug bust in this neighborhood. The camra man runs around a corner and in the drive way was a early 80's K5 it was all stock, but it was still cool...

When I did my "civilian observer" ride-a-long with my cop friend a couple weeks ago we went to their private impound yard. One of the vehicles impounded from a big drug bust was a pretty cool looking K5. And a lot lowriders! lol

That show was great. I grew up watching it. TV Land was running some kind of military marathon this weekend and it was on a lot. So was A-Team, Sweet!

Ever see commando with Arnold Schwartzanegger? In the begining of the movie he pushes about a 73-79 K5 down a hill. It looks like a real nice K5 too.

I love the A-Team! I remember Arnie pushing that K5 around. I might have to go and watch it again and admire the scene.

    That's SCHWARZENEGGER! [IMG]

Yeah, I'm a huge Arnie fan, and a bodybuilder myself. I think the truck was pre-'76, because it was a convertible.

I bought the Arnold DVD box set last year when I was in the US, so I've been having fun pausing that part of the movie to get a good look at the K5! [IMG]

P.S. The A-Team! - I recently bought a bunch of videos and DVDs from Amazon (and Knight Rider); AWESOME! How come you don't have them in the States? I can't believe there's more fans here. Weird.

Y'all remember that movie The Rookie?(Not the basball movie, think this cop move came out in 91) Clint Eastwood and Charlie Sheen drive around in a K5 for a while. Girlfriend rented it and I was like whoa, Eastwood is my hero. And the movie was about cracking down on GTA so that was good too. If I ever walk out into the parking lot and she's gone, i'll come off my rocker, drop my jug and grab my shotgun.

I was just looking around on the site today and found one of my (very) old post about movies and tv shows. I'm not sure how to post the address here, but if you do a search by username for NE79, it should be there somewhere. Lots of good stuff.

Doesn't Arnold's daughter in Last Action Hero drive a K5? She is one hot chick (Bridget Wilson) driving a bada$$ truck!

Yeah that hot chick had one in Last Action Hero. There was also one in War of the Roses too. There's a movie with Micheal Douglas and Kathleen Turner and late in the movie she drives a NICE red and white, lifted, 1989-91 Jimmy. It's sweet! She drives over his car while he was in it. Is that the same movie you're talking about?
