\'73 K5 seat replacement suggestions sought

Haven't picked up the '73 K5 yet, but I do know that the seats are shot. Suggestions for replacements? Buckets out of a Suburban or even a Tahoe are what I was thinking. Hopefully these can be had at a junkyard.

What do you think? What have you done yourself?

    Thanks,
    Stu

Anything from an 88-up pickup or 92-up Yukon/Burb will work quite nicely. They have a flat cab floor just like the K5.

I have Geo Metro seats in mine...they're actually quite nice, except the driver's seat is starting to fall apart.

I kept the stock brackets and turned them into a 1 piece base using a 18"x18" sheet of 1/8" steel plate. Then I got some front seats from a '91 silverado. I had to drill 4 holes to mount the seats to the plates. I got the seats for $100 and the steel plates for $20. The best part is that everything bolted back into the stock location. So now I have nice comfortable high back buckets that recline and bolt up to the stock floor mounts in my '74. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif They're nice and comfy!

Bucket seats from the pop up headlight eclipse, laser, talon triplets work well both seats have a flat mounting surface I plan on doing this swap and they are very comfortable. Only problem is if you are lifted alot they are harder to get in and out of because they have pretty good side and thigh bolsters /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif

I got some corbeau bajas for about $160 ea, went to the boneyard and got some brackets out of an 84 k5 for $25 total. They are comfy, have five point harness slots, and look cool.
