    \'75 steering box on \'90?

I know a guy who will probably sell me a brand new steering box, for cheap, but it is for a '75 Silverado Camper Special. But it is 2wd. Dont think it will work, but maybe for crossover??

it would work for a cross over but... the spline size for the steering column changed when they went to the metric steering box. If you use it, you will need the lower steering column shaft(with the rag joint) to make it fit. Also, the hoses are metric on your truck now. You might just be better finding a later 2x box.

your right. I don't understand the jeep thing!

if it's cheap enough, post it on the for sale board. someone here could use it.

Keep it, and when you do the crossover, replace the rag joint with a u-joint. You can find em that will fit no problem. And it will get rid of the weak rag joint.

Dont know when or if I will do crossover, but wouldnt hurt to get it I guess, if its cheap enough. ORD's kit looks pretty good for $320 (??) Alot cheaper than other companies that I've seen anyways.
