Out of curiosity, who would be interested in something along these lines. Basically it would be covering for the backseat passengers. The follks in the front normally don't have much of a problem (although the back of my neck gets CHARRED with the top off).

I'm in the middle of *making* one for my truck, and was curious how other folks would react?

Just for moferator sake, this is not a business opportunity or a shop/enterprise that I'm running, just looking for interest that I COULD pass on to some friends of mine that have considered this.

    LOL /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif

I honestly was hoping you'de say something. With the little ones running around with you, the extra protection back there would be nice. Now we just need to get Daniel to start making roll cages. I'll provide the garage space and the welder if he'll do the bends /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. With the Oklahoma sun, I'm afraid to take the top off for fear of fryin' the kids. If Daniel would make a cage as pretty as his bumpers, I'd take one of those too.

    Good deal.

The more interest the better. I gotta buy a new sewing machine so that I can finish mine, but that should happen pretty dang quick.

I'm actually in Ft. Smith pretty regular like on business, next time I'm heading your way I'll give you a holler. We need to get you over here and put those trucks of yours on the Rocks at Disney /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif

That's one of the reasons I went softop, the increased visibility is AWESOME. Hopefully this will help out even more. The design will be graveyard simple, but do a TON towards protecting from the elements.

BTW, If D comes up missing in the next couple of weeks, I know NOTHING and he is NOT chained to the welder in my garage /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif /forums/images/icons/shocked.gif /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif

I wanna see some pics. Who do you have making it? Just as an FYI, I used to build furniture and have access to a commercial sewing machine and a seamstress that might be willing to sew some of these up for the right price (she is very reasonable). I also get a big discount at the local fabric\upholstery supply shops, American and Oklahoma Upholstery Supplies.

I was telling my wife yesterday, my rollcage idea is coming to me. I just need to put it on paper and find some time to do it.
