Hello, I am new to the site and to Blazers. I had a J**P but I am looking for more room.
I currently have in my posession an 85 blazer body and frame and a 76 blazer complete (rust bucket body but drivable)
If emissions is not an issue, which should I build? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
The 76 needs floors and doors etc.
The 85 needs drivetrain and hard top swapped, electrical work and the frame at the t-case crossmember is cracked.
I have a 14boltFF and am looking for a 60ft. I will run a fuel cell and full hydralic steering...
Any help or ideas are apreciated. /forums/images/graemlins/ears.gif

That is how I am leaning.
The 76 is runnable now, but the 85 is in better shape.
The electrical will possibly be a b!t*h but the body is solid.

If your like me and HATE doing rust repairs, The 85 sounds like a better build.
    Or
Swap the 85 body onto 76 frame(would need a little work, But will fit) and reg as the 76 and screw the emissions!!
    But thats work also.

Drive the 76 while you build the 85. /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif

I am going to drive the 76 enough to feel good about the engine and trans (350/TH350), then I will pull them and go through the engine, water pump, rear main, pull the pan, etc.. and then put it all in the 85.
Thank you for your replies. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
