I think they eliminated the rocker boxes when they went to the half top in '76. The solid top that extends to behind the doors stabilizes the body. In fact, that was probably one of the major reasons for going to the half top (the other being roll-over protection).

Some 76's have the boxes even though they have the roofs. They were gone by 78 when the floor changed for the rear passenger foot wells. The frame also changed at that point.
I hate the floor in my 75! Really not comfortable for rear passengers. I wish it had the floor like my 79. I wish I could have I would have put in a rear foot wells when I replaced the floor but because the frame has a different curve it was not an option Hmmmm Maybe I'll find a rolled 80 one day and make it a Roadster. HMMMM you know I know where a 75 is with top in a Junk yard and The wifes 79 is going to get repainted soon...wonder if she would like a roadster also. Nahhhh She likes the A/C when it's hot She swipes the 75 when it nice.

I'd pass on that rig. Anybody that let a truck get that bad on the outside for damn sure didn't take care of the insides (like the engine, tranny, etc).

It will cost more to fix/rebuild that one than to just buy a decent one to begin with. [IMG]
