78 cab on 84 blazer frame?

    does this work? 78 pickup cab on a 84 k5 frame..not sure what years were bolt and and what not..

    There's nothing to support the rear cab mounts on the Blazer frame. The Blazer frame is low-slung through the mid-section so you need to build some kind of mount tower or something.

    And it uses different bushings

    is that for this year? what if i put an 86 cab on it? ive heard all u have ot do is put the cross member in there that it needs for the rear mount and other than that it was bolt on..

    the bushings are different but just buy them for the year cab as the frame mounts ar the same. also for the rear cab mount, take the crossmember out of a truck and make some extentions to raise it up to reach teh cab /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif
